Current Statistics on the Religious Diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand, compiled by Dr Todd Nachowitz, are based on the 2013 New Zealand Census, and can be downloaded in PDF form by clicking on the link below. More recent statistics from the 2018 New Zealand census will be available in late 2018 or early 2019. We will update our statistics as soon as the new figures become available.

Work and Worship: Religious Diversity in Workplaces in New Zealand by Dr Edwina Pio, University Director of Diversity at the Auckland University of Technology and board member of the Religious Diversity Centre Programme Committee. Edwina’s book addresses the lived religion, or religion in daily life in organisations, showcasing how the sacred is present and influential at work. The book investigates religious diversity and suggests how business leaders can script success in their policies and practices by taking into account the growing workforce of minority religions in their organisations.
